Counselling gives you the opportunity to talk about any difficulties and problems you may be facing in day to day life
Counselling provides a non-judgemental and confidential space for you to work through your feelings and difficult life events. Experiencing feelings and thoughts you can’t understand can be overwhelming and there may be many reasons why you feel you need to access some extra help.
Our counsellors will listen to you and support you when you need it most.
Our private practice counsellors are fully qualified and come from a wide range of backgrounds, experiences and expertise.
In the past our counsellors have helped clients with a variety of challenges, for example:
- Depression, stress and anxiety
- Addiction (drug, alcohol, gambling, sex)
- Lack of sleep
- Relationship problems
- Anger management
- Eating disorders

What to expect in your first session
The first session you attend is an opportunity for you to meet your counsellor and to see whether counselling may help you. You will be able to talk about the issues you would like to discuss and about what you want from counselling.
After this session, if you and your counsellor want to proceed, you will be offered weekly sessions ideally at the same day and time. These sessions will last for 50 minutes. During this time you will be free to talk to your counsellor and explore any issues that you have.
The initial session is £20 which covers our basic costs and gives you a chance to try our service. All subsequent sessions are £45. You will be asked to pay this in advance.
If you have chronic mental or physical health issues and are referred by a medical or healthcare professional your session will be subsidised as part of our charitable work. Contact us for more information on this.
