Myofascial Release Therapy in Leeds City Centre

Gentle | Healing | Slow

This is a specific form of massage that works with fascia, an uninterrupted network of connective tissue running throughout your whole body. Fascia surrounds, protects, binds and separates muscles, bones and organs.

As a result of postural habits, injury or emotional trauma, fascia can become restricted, meaning that muscles and bones can’t move freely and effectively. This can create dysfunction across the whole system.

This gentle treatment can release these restrictions and restore movement and ease in the body. Each session is tailored to your specific needs at that time.

Benefits of Myofascial Release Therapy:

  • It is a slow and gentle therapy – for some people, this approach really works
  • After your session, you may feel more open with increased flexibility
  • You may also feel relaxed and at ease

What to expect:

  • Before you get here, please make sure you’ve filled out your pre-session form (this is included in your booking confirmation email – you only need to do this once)
  • When you arrive at Phoenix, you’ll be greeted by our friendly Reception team
  • Your therapist will come to you and take you to your room
  • They will ask you a few questions to help understand what you’d like from the treatment – please give as much information as you can
  • This treatment is usually done through clothes, so please wear something comfy – leggings and a loose or stretchy top are great
  • During your treatment, you can talk to your therapist as much or little as you would like to, including feedback on the treatment
  • After your treatment, the therapist will leave the room for a moment and bring you a glass of water

Our Therapists:

  • Highly skilled in their specialist therapies
  • Motivated by helping others feel good
  • Will openly explain if they think that you would benefit from a different treatment type (even if that means with one of our other therapists)
  • Give easy-to-do aftercare to maximise the benefits of your treatment (sometimes this is: “have a long, lovely bath…”)
  • Fully qualified
  • Have professional indemnity insurance and police checked
  • Members of a relevant professional body that requires them to undertake continuing professional development
