Indian Head Massage

Unwind | Healing | Dreamy

Indian head massage is based upon the Ayurvedic system of healing which has been used in Indian for thousands of years. It aims to release stress from the muscles and joints of the shoulders, neck, scalp, and face.

Indian Head Massage is usually given with the client seated in a chair but if deeper relaxation is desired then the client can lie down on a couch for the session.

With this treatment it is not necessary for the client to get undressed although it is a good idea to wear lose clothing to allow the therapist access to the muscles of the shoulders and neck.

Once the client is comfortable the therapist uses range of techniques to remove stress and induce relaxation.

As with all complementary therapy treatments at Phoenix Health and Wellbeing new clients are asked a series of questions about their health to ensure that they are all right to proceed with the treatment.

Benefits of Indian head massage

  • It is an excellent way of relieving stress especially stress resulting from emotional situations or traumas.
  • It has also been found to help relieve the symptoms of insomnia, headaches, migraine and sinusitis.
