Aromatherapy

Soothing | Calming | Scented

Aromatherapy uses plant essential oils to treat physical and emotional conditions. The oils can penetrate the skin and enter the blood stream.  They all have specific properties which, when combined, can form a powerful mixture. So, for example, lavender essential oil contains a chemical which is known to promote sleep and relaxation.

Your therapist will make a bespoke blend of plant essential oils just for you.

Check your private health plan or insurance. You may be able to claim back some of the cost of your treatment.

Benefits of an aromatherapy massage:

  • Each treatment is tailored to your specific needs – these can change day-by-day so our therapists will never assume you want the same as last time
  • Essential oils have been found to help with a wide range of conditions such as skin complaints, depression and anxiety as well as many others
  • Deeply relaxing and calming
  • Can help to lift your mood or calm nerves during stressful situations

What to expect:

  • Before you get here, please make sure you’ve filled out your pre-session form (this is included in your booking confirmation email – you only need to do this once)
  • When you arrive at Phoenix, you’ll be greeted by our friendly Reception team
  • Your therapist will come to you and take you to your room
  • They will ask you a few questions to help understand what you’d like from the treatment & find out which plant oils would suit your mood in that moment. Only the highest quality oils are used in formulating your personal blend
  • The therapist will then leave you for a moment so you can undress and get comfortable
  • During your treatment, you can talk to your therapist as much or little as you would like to, including feedback on the treatment
  • After your treatment, the therapist will leave the room for a moment to let you get dressed and bring you a glass of water
  • They will share after-care tips tailored to you

Our Therapists:

  • Highly skilled in their specialist therapies
  • Motivated by helping others feel good
  • Will openly explain if they think that you would benefit from a different treatment type (even if that means with one of our other therapists)
  • Give easy-to-do aftercare to maximise the benefits of your treatment (sometimes this is: “have a long, lovely bath…”)
  • Fully qualified
  • Have professional indemnity insurance and police checked
  • Members of a relevant professional body that requires them to undertake continuing professional development
