Referred Acupuncture

Traditional Chinese Medicinal Acupuncture has been found to be beneficial for many health conditions and can also promote deep relaxation.

We offer a subsidised service for people who have chronic mental, physical and emotional health issues and low incomes. Conditions include depression, stress & anxiety to more physical conditions such as chronic pain, chronic fatigue syndrome or forms of cancer.

If you would like to receive acupuncture here, ask your Doctor, a medical professional, healthcare practitioner or support worker to refer you to us.

The Referral Process

  • Your Doctor/healthcare practitioner/support worker needs to contact us to make the referral
  • They will pass on your contact details and explain the reason for the referral. To do this, they simply ring 0113 234 0818 – it will take just a few minutes.
  • We will call you to confirm we have received your referral and give you further information about our service. We will also agree the cost of your treatments.
  • You can book your first appointment!

There is no waiting list for this service – you can book straightaway or call us back to book at a time that suits you.

What to expect from your first appointment

The first appointment you have will include a consultation with one of our brilliant acupuncturists. They are really knowledgable and understanding – they will ask you questions about your health issues and explore what you are looking to gain from the treatment.

Patients are seen in a room which has two or three couches. Treatments are done in this open plan setting, although privacy screens are available if desired.

After the session, the acupuncturist will be happy to discuss your treatment plan.

Our Acupuncturists

We are fortunate to have Giles Watts running our multi bed acupuncture clinic. Giles is a member of the British Acupuncture Council and has been practising for 22 years. He also acts as a supervisor for acupuncturists and has lectured at degree level. He brings his wealth of experience to our clinic.

Working alongside Giles is Chris Wadsworth, who has extensive experience working with people with muscular-skeletal issues, depression, anxiety, digestive disorders and ME. Chris qualified as an acupuncturist in 2016 and is a member of the British Acupuncture Council.
