About Tanya in her own words:  “I am a neurodivergent counsellor. My work is underpinned by person centred therapy which I integrate with other techniques. I have a lot of understanding of the effects of complex trauma, depression, abuse and neurodiversity both through personal experience and client work. I offer a safe, non-judgemental environment in which we work at your pace. I will help you to compassionately explore how past experiences have shaped who you are now and support you in finding healthy ways to cope moving forward.”

Qualifications and training: Tanya has a Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling and Inner Child Healing. She has also completed training in trauma recovery and ADHD.  She regularly attends training courses and supervision as part of her continuing professional development.

Professional body membership: British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists

Areas of focus: trauma, childhood, sexual and domestic abuse, anxiety, depression, neurodiversity, stress, peri menopause and menopause, family/ relationship issues and improving feeling of low self-worth.

A little known fact: “In my spare time I like to relax and destress by drawing and painting and have even painted my stairway wall with a larger colourful mural.”
