Acupuncture in Leeds City Centre
We offer Traditional Chinese Medicinal Acupuncture in a 1 to 1 and multi-bed setting
Our 1 to 1 Clinic
- Our Wednesday Acupuncture clinic is run by Josie Taylor and operates on a private 1 to 1 basis. Read Josie‘s Bio in Meet Our Team
- The first session is 90 minutes to allow for a detailed assessment and treatment plan development as well as your initial treatment
- You will be closely monitored throughout your session and can also receive other complementary therapeutic practices as part of your overall treatment.
- The price is £70 for the initial 90 minute session and £65 for subsequent 60 minute sessions
Our Multibed Clinic
- Our Friday Acupuncture Clinic operates on a multibed basis.
- You will have a short initial consultation with the practitioner – this may not be in private.
- You will then be treated in a room which has two couches in it, separated by a screen
- This format of clinic allows us to keep our charges lower in order to make acupuncture as accessible as possible
- Research has found that multibed settings can be beneficial in creating a sense of community and there is rarely negative feedback.
- Follow this link to access an article and further references on the benefits and disadvantages of multibed clinical settings.
- The price is £55 for a private multibed session
Why Try Acupuncture?
- Acupuncture can be beneficial for many conditions and has been clinically proven to help with chronic pain and headaches
- Many people turn to Traditional Chinese Medicinal (TCM) acupuncture because the practitioner will take an holistic view of the symptoms and conditions, so treats the whole being and not just a single symptom.
- Acupuncture can also promote deep relaxation and some people find it helps to promote quality and quantity of sleep
- Here are some of the health issues that we have treated in our clinic – this is not an exhaustive list:
- Anxiety
- Digestive disorders
- Fatigue
- Hayfever
- Headaches
- Insomnia
- Menopausal symptoms – especially hot flushes
- Menstrual problems
- Musculo-skeletal problems
- Skin conditions
- Stress

Phoenix Health and Wellbeing’s Acupuncture Team
- Our team is led by Ben Elliot, an experienced acupuncturist who qualified in 2012 and also teaches at the Northern College of Acupuncture
- All of our therapists are members of relevant professional bodies and participate in continuing professional development (CPD) to make sure they keep up to date with developments in their discipline
- Our acupuncturists are all highly skilled and experienced, bringing a wealth of knowledge. During your initial consultation, they will create a treatment plan that is right for you.
- Phoenix Health and Wellbeing is a charitable social enterprise. We use the proceeds from treatments to offer highly subsidised and free to access support to people who are living with chronic health conditions and low incomes. These people are referred to us by healthcare practitioners and would not be able to access therapies on the open market due to cost. By coming to us for your Acupuncture you are helping us to continue with this work
