Counselling can be helpful if you have a specific issue you are finding it hard to deal with or if you want to gain a better understanding of yourself and your relationships. It can be useful to talk with someone independent from family and friends.
I will work with you in a non-directive way to understand the issues that you are experiencing. You will be able to freely explore your concerns in a supportive and confidential space. Working together, we will look to make sense of what is going on so that you feel better able to find new ways forward.
I have a Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling and regularly undertake additional professional training. I am a member of the BACP (British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy).
I offer therapy for a range of issues including depression, anxiety, low self-esteem, relationship difficulties, work issues, life transitions, bereavement and loss.
As well as working at Phoenix I also work in student mental health and wellbeing services at the University of York.
If you have health insurance you may be able to claim back the cost of sessions with Madeleine. Check your policy first.
