“I’m Amanda, and my journey into working as a counsellor began with my own experience of therapy. Working with a therapist completely changed the direction of my life, so I’ve seen first-hand the impact it can have and the positive changes it can bring. The benefits I saw in my own life inspired me to want to pay it forward to others. This also means I recognise that making the decision to see a counsellor is a big step. It’s my aim to help you feel supported in taking the leap.
My qualification is a post-graduate diploma in counselling and psychotherapy. I am a relational integrative practitioner, which means I draw on a range of skills to support you in our work together. I believe that living in alignment with our core values is an integral part of living a fulfilled life and having positive relationships. We’ll work out together what’s important to you and where you want to be.
I am a member of the BACP and have been working with clients since 2018. During that time I have worked with a range of issues including; depression, anxiety, social anxiety, sexual violence, relationship issues, stress, self-harm, bereavement and issues relating to BPD. It is my aim to offer my clients a place of safety, a relationship that provides a secure base in which to increase in self-awareness, heal from past traumas and work towards the future you desire.”
