The 3 Day Ride

The Itinerary

Day 1: Thursday 9th September AM

We will leave Wetherby and travel to Morecambe with bikes! We start riding straight away from the iconic statue of Eric Morecambe and head out past Lancaster through open countryside to Settle.  A journey of roughly 40 miles with some hills.

You need to book your own overnight accommodation in Settle.

Day 2: Friday 10th September

After a good nights sleep we will leave Settle for a ride of roughly 65 miles through some challenging terrain.  The hills on this section of the ride must not be underestimated. Make sure you do some hill training!

We’ll cycle on small roads or traffic free routes through some wonderful countryside – which will distract your mind from the hills!

We’ll arrive in Wetherby on Friday night.  Once again if you need overnight accommodation you will need to book your own.  Bikes can be stored at the Rugby Club overnight.

Wetherby has various B&B’s, hotels and restaurants so there wont be a shortage of places to stay or places to eat!

Day 3: Saturday 11th September

After a good night’s rest, we will meet bright and early at Wetherby Rugby Club for transfer to Bridlington – bikes and riders! We will then cycle the 83 miles from the east coast back to Wetherby. This is lovely route passing through the market towns of Driffield and Pocklington before swinging past York Minster and onwards on small roads to Wetherby Rugby Club where there will be a celebration BBQ to get your teeth into!
