Counselling gives you the opportunity to talk about issues effecting your life in a safe and confidential environment.
Our counsellors will listen to you and help you to work through any problems or difficulties that you may have.
They are here to help you understand how past experiences may be effecting your life today.
The type of counselling that we offer is non-directive.
This means that the counsellor will not tell you what to do. They will not present you with a course of action to take.
Instead they will provide you with a non-judgemental, confidential setting and guide you as you explore your issues and concerns.
Benefits of Counselling in our Leeds City Centre venue:
- Your sessions are completely confidential. Your issues will not ordinarily be discussed in any way that can identify you.
- You will have the opportunity to talk about yourself and your issues in a supportive environment
- Your counsellor will help you to work towards improving your wellbeing by better understanding your issues and problems
- Our counsellors will not judge you but will listen to you impartially
- Our counsellors are all members of a relevant professional body – the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists (BACP)

Fantastic support, excellent at listening
It’s a very relaxing environment and I have sessions with a friendly and kind therapist who helps me manage my health, and listens to me and adapts to my needs. It’s great for relaxation, healing and attuning to my body and its needs.
I feel so comfortable here. There’s no judgement here and when you come in everyone always has a smile for you, they don’t look down on anyone. I feel like I’ve known my counsellor for years, she really helps me and she’s worth every penny. She can relate to what I’m saying and I feel better after seeing her, I even look forward to going! I feel so lucky, we laugh together and she lifts my spirits. You’re all brilliant.
What happens in a Counselling Session?
When you come along for your first appointment you will get to meet your counsellor. The idea is that you come along at the same time on the same day each week until you no longer need to see your counsellor.
The first session that you have is an opportunity for you to meet the counsellor and for them to meet you. It is important that you both feel that you can work together. There is paper work to complete at this first session and so it is free of charge. If you want to return after this session you will have to pay whatever you have agreed to contribute, in advance before your next visit.
After completing the paperwork and at subsequent sessions you and your counsellor will sit in the privacy of one of our relaxing treatment rooms for the 50 minutes of your session.
Our counsellors are qualified to at least Certificate level or equivalent. All are rigorously selected and monitored. They must have professional supervision and attend continuing professional development sessions. They are Police checked, insured and members of a relevant professional body. Meet them here
