Lymphatic Drainage Massage in Leeds City Centre

Gentle | Rhythmic | Detoxifying

This is a specialised form of massage that aims to promote the circulation of lymphatic fluid around the body. This fluid is a vital part of your immune system and also carries waste from the body to your spleen and liver for cleansing.

Promoting lymphatic drainage can help to boost the immune system, help in detoxifying the body and reduce swelling caused by fluid retention.

It is a very gentle treatment with each movement and technique used designed to encourage the lymphatic fluid to flow. Your therapist will carry out a bespoke treatment tailored to your specific needs.

The link below will take you to our booking system. Benefits of a Lymphatic Drainage massage:

  • Lymphatic fluid plays an important function in the body’s immune system and this type of massage can improve the flow of lymph and help to boost the immune system
  • Lymphoedema can cause pain and discomfort in the affected area and draining the excess fluid can help to relieve this
  • It can help to remove toxins from the affected area
  • There is some evidence that suggests it can help in dispersing cellulite by increasing the flow of accumulated waste in the tissue affected

What to expect:

  • Before you get here, please make sure you’ve filled out your pre-session form (this is included in your booking confirmation email – you only need to do this once)
  • When you arrive at Phoenix, you’ll be greeted by our friendly Reception team
  • Your therapist will come to you and take you to your room
  • They will ask you a few questions to help understand what you’d like from the treatment – please give as much information as you can
  • The therapist will then leave you for a moment so you can undress and get comfortable
  • During your treatment, you can talk to your therapist as much or little as you would like to, including feedback on the treatment
  • After your treatment, the therapist will leave the room for a moment to let you get dressed and bring you a glass of water
